Dr. Saira Crespo was born and raised in Puerto Rico and has always had a passion and love for animals and science. From an early age, she was seen taking special care of every animal in her family and developing a special connection with them. Dr. Crespo began her professional career by earning a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology. Later, she decided to pursue a master’s degree in public health with a minor in gerontology. This decision was motivated by her deep connection with the elderly and all the years she spent growing up with her grandparents. During that period, she reconnected with her true calling, veterinary medicine, after spending several months working as a veterinary assistant at her local veterinarian. After graduating from her master’s degree, she moved her whole life to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine.
Upon completion of veterinary school, Dr. Crespo settled in New Jersey to be close to family. She joined Greenfields Veterinary Associates in June 2021 and cannot be more excited to care for your “Pawmily” members. Dr. Crespo enjoys spending time reading, organizing, baking and being a cat mom to her two cat’s Miimi and Fufis. She is fluent in Spanish and English and her goals are for every family member she meets to feel comfortable and to provide the best care possible.
